The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “One who treads a path in search of knowledge has his path to paradise” (Al Tirmidhi, Hadith 79).
“We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran in order that you may learn wisdom” (Quran 12:2).
The ‘Beginners Arabic’ course will be taught using Madina Book 1, a text originally devised and taught at Madina Islamic University for English-speaking students. This is a practical and comprehensive course that aims to give students a basic understanding of the Arabic language.
This course caters for sisters wishing to enhance their education and their spiritual relationship with Allah and His messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) by studying and gaining a basic understanding of the language of the Qur’an. After completion of Book 1, students will have the opportunity to move onto Book 2.
Teacher
Ustadha Umm Fatima graduated from Westminster University with a degree in Arabic. She spent a year in Damascus furthering her Arabic studies and studying with Ustadh Assam. She has been teaching Arabic to adults for the past 3 years.
