Sisters Only ‘Aqida Tahawiyya
The ‘Aqida is the famous work of Imam Abu Ja‘far al-Tahawi, the great Mujtahid Imam and scholar, which represents the creed of the Ahl al-Sunna wa al-Jama‘a in relation to Allah Most High, His divine attributes, His books, His messengers, His angels, the Day of Judgment, destiny, and life after death.
This work is a basic text for all times, past, present and future. It lists comprehensively what all Muslims must know, believe and inwardly understand. For centuries the text has been the most widely acclaimed, and indeed indispensable, reference work on Muslim beliefs.
The Importance of Studying this Science
Studying this subject is essential for each and every Muslim, to ensure that they possess the correct beliefs about Allah and the fundamental components of the faith. It helps one gain a deeper understanding about these fundamentals, and aids in attaining recognition of Allah. It makes one firm in religion, without which he or she would be left extremely vulnerable.
Ustadha Safia Shahid will present al-Tahawi’s ‘Aqida as a living and dynamic reality, providing the student with clear explanations, using proofs from the Qur’an and authenticated teachings of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
The student will develop a greater and deeper understanding of 'Aqida, and an enhanced love for their Deen.
The student will be given a well-presented copy of 'Aqida Tahawiyya.
