The EIL course is now in it’s third year.  It has been designed to give students a basic foundational knowledge, knowledge that is essential for every Muslim to learn. This year the course has 3 highly qualified teachers local to our community who will be teaching 3 fantastic subjects (details below) over 40 weeks with 80 hours of spiritually uplifting and fun learning.


So what is unique about EIL3?


1. Shaykhs Tanveer, Ammar and Zaheer,  have agreed to deliver 3 unique topics course over 40 weeks- 2 hours every week.


3. 40 week course will be broken down into 20 week modules to provide some subject variability


4. Course accommodates brothers and sisters in a fun, friendly , modest environment in a state-of-art facility.

Course description:

Shaykh Tanveer will be teaching Imam Nawawi's 40 Hadith over a period of 20 weeks. The 40 Hadith is a unique study of Imam Nawawi’s well renowned 40 hadith. Al-Arba’in, is a practical and comprehensive collection of ahadith that sheds light on every branch of our lives.


Teacher Biography:

Shaykh Tanveer is a talented young scholar who was born and raised in the UK.  After preliminary studies in the UK he travelled to Damascus (Syria) to deepen his knowledge. After years of study he graduated from the renowned Mahad al-Fath al-Islami in Damascus.  He has been actively involved in Islamic education in the UK since his return and regularly organises specialised courses for imparting knowledge.







Course description:

Shaykh Ammar will be teaching The History of the Khalifahs who took the right way over a period of 20 weeks. The book is authored by Imam Jalal Ad Din As Suyuti. This work presents authentic hadith about the first 4 Khalifahs of Islam, May Allah be pleased with them, illustrating both the integrity and wisdom that they displayed in governance. The book also highlights their contributions to that body of practice which is known as the Sunnah.


Teacher Biography:

Shaykh Ammar Siddiqui born and raised in the UK, graduated as a Hafiz of the Qur'aan in 2007, later on commenced his Islamic Studies under his respected father Maulana Araungzaib Siddiqui of Arabic Grammar and Fiqh. Also under Mufti Muhammad Liaqat (South Africa) he continued his Arabic Grammar studies and under Imam Muhammad Yazdaani (London) studying the Doctrine of Aqeedah. He is also fortunate enough to be the student of respectable Shaykh Faid Mohammed Said (Madinah Al Munawwarah, Scholar in Residence and Head of Education of Harrow Central Mosque). A Shaykh who is working continuously for the betterment of this Ummah.


His Qur'anic studies & ijazzahs were completed under many respected teachers such as Hafiz Qari Najeebullah (Afghanistan), Dr.Qari Muhammad Younas) and the Imam Hafs School of recitation from Shaykh Muhammad Hishaam (Kuwait).


He currently is the Deputy head of Education at Harrow Central Mosque and the Larayb Institiute of Education situated at Harrow Central Mosque and is also the Khateeb of Hounslow Jamia Masjid.






Course description:

Shaykh Zaheer will be teaching Refinement of The Souls over a period of 20 weeks. The Refinement of Souls is a concise manual consisting of spiritual instructions, aphorisms and private discourses with the Divine from a Master of the Shadhili Order. The text covers Islamic themes such as repentance, the effect of sins, envy, reliance on divine planning and many others.


Teacher Biography:

Shaykh Zaheer Yaqoob began his interest in Islamic Studies whilst studying at university where he obtained a BA(Hons) in Business Marketing and later travelled to Damascus, Syria for a short period in 2007, completing several short courses in the core Islamic subjects. It is here he met with his foremost teacher the erudite scholar his eminence Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi who continues to guide his development.


Since graduating he has been working full time in a corporate position employed in the field of Business Development whilst leading weekly gatherings in the community since 2006 and gatherings of remembrance since 2009, he also regularly delivers Friday sermons and lectures.


He continues his studies and his main interests include Islamic Spirituality, the Life of the Prophet (peace be upon him) - his qualities and characteristics, Qur'anic Phonology and Recitation, all of which he is currently teaching in his community.
